Day 1
Arrival at Leh- NO RIDE
Upon arrival at Leh
airport (Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport) you will be picked up from the
airport and check in to the hotel. Since Leh is located at the height
of 3500Mtrs ASL, it is very important for each one of you to have enough
rest to get acclimatise for upcoming days. No motorcycles will be
provided today since you need enough time to get acclimatise.
Day 2
Leh Local sightseeing - 70 kms
After breakfast we will
start to explore the nearby places like Thiksey monastery , Leh Palace
and Shanti Stupa. Leh, the historic capital of the Ladakh region, is a
place of spiritual tranquility, ancient history, and awe-inspiring
landscapes. Among its many attractions, three iconic landmarks stand
out: Thiksey Monastery, Leh Palace, and Shanti Stupa. Each of these
sites offers a unique window into the rich cultural heritage and
religious traditions of the region, making them must-visit destinations
for any traveler in Leh.
Day 3
Leh to Nubra valley - 150 Kms
Today we will start our
journey towards Nubra valley, Nubra valley is a coldest desert situated
at the height of 10000ft asl in Himalayas. Before reaching we will cross
Khardungla pass at the height of 5380Mtrs, which is the world’s highest
motorable road. We will also visit Diskit gompa and Hunder sand dunes,
where you can do double hump camel safari. By evening we will reach the
camp in Nubra valley
Day 4
Nubra valley to Pangong lake: 170 Kms
After breakfast we will
start our journey towards world famous Pangong lake at the height of
14000Ft asl, we will be taking Nubra – Shoyk valley route, the entire
roads are very tricky with sudden twists and turns with multiple water
crossings. We will reach Pangong lake by evening, rest of the day you
can spend time near the lake.
Day 5
Pangong lake to Stok - 155 kms
The journey from Pangong
Lake to Stok takes you through some of the most breathtaking and diverse
landscapes of Ladakh. We will cross Chang La is the third-highest
motorable pass in the world, standing at an altitude of 5,360 meters.
The climb to Chang La is steep, with narrow roads and occasional water
crossings, but the views from the top are stunning. Stok Village is your
final destination, a tranquil and culturally rich location. Here, you
can explore the Stok Palace, which houses a museum with artifacts from
Ladakh’s royal history, and visit the Stok Monastery, a small but
spiritually significant site
Day 6
Stok to Lamayuru - 125 Kms
The journey from Stok to
Lamayuru takes you through some of the most iconic landscapes of Ladakh,
blending the spiritual serenity of monasteries with the stark beauty of
the Himalayas. Lamayuru, often referred to as the “Moonland” due to its
unique, moon-like terrain, is one of the oldest and most significant
monasteries in Ladakh. the Lamayuru Monastery. Founded in the 11th
century, this monastery is a significant center of the Drikung Kagyu
school of Tibetan Buddhism. Legend has it that the area around Lamayuru
was once a lake, which was drained by a Buddhist saint to make way for
the monastery.
Day 7
Lamayuru to Padum - 200 Kms
The journey from Lamayuru
to Padum via Singe La and Sirsir La is one of the most adventurous and
breathtaking routes in Ladakh, taking you through remote high-altitude
passes and the stunning landscapes of the Zanskar region. This journey
is a dream for adventure motorcyclists and travelers seeking to explore
the less-traveled paths of the Indian Himalayas. Singe La, one of the
highest passes on this route, standing at an elevation of 5,009 meters.
The ascent is demanding, with sharp turns and rugged paths, but the
views from the top are absolutely worth it. Sirsir La, another
high-altitude pass at an elevation of 4,800 meters. The road is rough
and narrow, with steep inclines and breathtaking views of the
surrounding mountains.
Day 8
Explore Padum
Today will be relax day,
we will explore some of the ancient monasteries in Zanskar valley.
Padum, nestled in the heart of the remote Zanskar Valley in the Indian
Union Territory of Ladakh, is an intriguing destination for adventure
seekers, trekkers, and those interested in experiencing the unique
culture of the Himalayan highlands. At an altitude of around 3,665
meters (12,024 feet), this small town is the administrative center of
Zanskar and the largest settlement in the valley, offering both solitude
and adventure amid towering mountains and ancient monasteries. We will
visit Karsha Gompa, Zangla and Padum market in the evening.
Day 9
Padum to Kargil - 230 Kms
The journey from Padum to
Kargil is an exhilarating and scenic drive through the rugged Zanskar
Valley, a region renowned for its stark beauty, towering mountain
ranges, and remote villages. This route, spanning approximately 230
kilometers, takes travelers through some of the most isolated and
spectacular landscapes in Ladakh. The drive involves navigating through
high-altitude passes, deep river gorges, and winding roads that offer
both challenges and rewards in equal measure.Penzi La is one of the
highest points on the journey and serves as the gateway between the
Zanskar Valley and the Suru Valley.
Day 10
Kargil to Aryan Valley - 75 Kms
The journey from Kargil
to Aryan Valley via Batalik takes travelers through a region steeped in
history, rich culture, and dramatic landscapes. Aryan Valley, home to
the Drokpa (Brokskat-speaking) people, is one of the most unique and
culturally distinct areas in Ladakh. The route via Batalik offers a mix
of high mountain passes, ancient villages, and riverside views, making
it a memorable experience for adventurers seeking to explore Ladakh’s
less-traveled roads. Hamboting La is the highest point on this route and
offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountain ranges.
Day 11
Aryan Valley to Leh - 170 Kms
After exploring Aryan
valley, we will start our return journey towards Leh, we will ride next
to the Indus river till Khalsi. After that we will join the NH 1 highway
and reach Leh by early evening,. Rest of the time you can spend in the
Leh Market. We will gather in the evening for a farewell dinner.
Day 12
Departure from Leh
After breakfast we will
bid a goodbye to the majestic Himalayas and we will drop you to the Leh
airport towards your onward journey. End of the tour.
